The Sagittarius Full Moon: 3 Recommendations to Consider
"Never let your sense of morals get in the way of doing what's right." Isaac Asimov (1920 - 1992)
The full moon, like the new moon, is a symbol for the shift, or change, in the energy over the course of a month. The first half of the month, from new to full, is about internal transformation. The stuff that happens below the surface. The full moon is a culmination of those changes, and from the full moon to the next new moon the focus is on external transformation- how those changes impact your life/environment.
The full moon in Sagittarius occurs at 17 degrees of Sagittarius on Sunday, June 7 at 2:12 PM in Miami, FL.
Sagittarius is the sign of transcending our baser drives and aiming towards a more spiritual and wise perspective. Sagittarians are travelers and philosophers with a friendly and outgoing personality. Jupiter rules this sign and imbues it with an optimistic and abundant outlook on life.
Two weeks ago at the Gemini new moon we collectively shifted into a new cycle of communicating, thinking, and socializing. Now at the full moon our choices become manifest in the world and interact with our environment. Sagittarius wants to inspire, educate, and explore, but can become moralistic and judgemental if it's not careful. To make the most of this time around the full moon I recommend the following:
- Treat people as individuals and resist stereotyping them. Sagittarius wants to be tolerant.
- Look for what's common among our beliefs, goals, and systems. Sagittarius wants to be inclusive.
- Avoid extremes by seeing the unique spiritual experience found beyond the ego. Sagittarius wants to be transcendent.
Use the shift in energy of this full moon to approach life optimistically, adventurously, and abundantly. May we all continue to grow this spring. Namaste'
Ask the Astrologer: "Would December 2009 Seem Right for This Move?"
"I have just turned 43 and am currently residing in Miami. I [want to] pursue relocating to Canada with my daughter (from a previous marriage), and my husband who is a Canadian citizen. We have it in our goal to reach Canadian territory by December of this year and would like to know what my birth chart reveals in this manner. Would December of 2009 seem right for this move?" - Jane
Thanks for writing in Jane. Relocation is a popular topic in astrology and there are many ways of determining where and when to go. For the purposes of this column I'll keep it simple and look at a few of your transits and progressions for later this year.
As I've noted before, astrology is good at describing conditions and not necessarily outcomes. A weatherman can predict rain for tomorrow, but he can't say if you'll get wet or not- going outside is up to you. In your case, Jane, it sounds like you already have the outcome in mind (moving to Canada) and want some assurance that the conditions will support your decision.
Looking at your progressions and transits for December I would say that... Continue reading...
