The Twilight of the Elites – 10 Ideas for the Next 10 Years – TIME.
In the wake of the implosion of nearly all sources of American authority, this new decade will have to be about reforming our institutions to reconstitute a more reliable and democratic form of authority.
This recent article in Time magazine clearly and succinctly describes the planetary trends over the past ten years. As I mentioned in my last article about states’ rights the planet Pluto is the evolutionary energy that acts like a surgeon’s scalpel- its cuts deep in order to bring healing. During the 1990s and most of the last decade Pluto was transiting through Sagittarius. Sag is a symbol for (among other things) religion. The scandals in the Catholic Church and the religious extremism that we’ve witnessed are a reflection of this kind of Plutonian energy.
Now that Pluto has moved in Capricorn, the sign that rules governments, natural resources, and business, we can expect to see these institutions experience a similar fate. And we already have from the Madoff scandal to the outrageous Wall Street bonuses and the tea party movement. Our corporations and our government will undergo a trial by fire whereby all that is not working will fail, making room for a new and better form to take its place.
